Advancing Pharmaceutical Research in Lebanon

Lebanon's first bioequivalence and biomedical research center, built to international standards and dedicated to the conduct of high-quality studies supporting the approval of safe and effective generic medications.

A New Era for Pharmaceutical Research

The Dr. Moise Khayrallah Center for Pharmaceutical and Medical Research is a state-of-the-art facility located within the LAU Research Zone on the Byblos campus. As Lebanon's first dedicated bioequivalence research center, Dr. Moise Khayrallah Center for Pharmaceutical and Medical Research bridges the gap between academia, industry, and regulatory bodies to position Lebanon as a regional leader in pharmaceutical research and innovation. Our mission is to provide high-quality bioequivalence studies that meet international regulatory standards, thus supporting the approval of safe, effective, and affordable generic products in the Middle East as well as other regions.

Lebanon's pharmaceutical market has faced significant challenges in recent years. With rising costs and limited access to branded medications, confidence in quality generic drugs has never been more critical. Dr. Moise Khayrallah Center for Pharmaceutical and Medical Research exists to provide the rigorous testing that evaluates this equivalence, ensuring that when patients switch to generics, they receive the same therapeutic benefit. Research published by the U.S. FDA demonstrates that approved generic drugs differ by an average of less than 4% in bioavailability when compared to their branded counterparts.
